I’m really not one to complain, but playing basketball against a just‑retired pro is a little much for a Tuesday night rec league. I mean, come on — the guy still moves like he’s got a contract waiting in the locker room, and here I am trying to shake off a long day at work. Every drive I took, he erased. Every jumper I put up, he sent back like he was swatting mosquitoes. It stops being “friendly competition” real fast when the person guarding you spent the last decade guarding actual NBA stars. At some point you start wondering if the league should hand out warning labels for matchups like this.
