🏝️ The $60 Florida Address Shuffle
Moving from Deerfield Beach to Daytona should’ve been the easy part. Instead, the real workout was at the Department of Driver Licensing, where changing three lines on a form somehow costs $60 per person — twice. First for the rental house, then again when I bought a home. That’s $240 total for the privilege of telling the state, “Hey, I live over there now.” Florida doesn’t charge income tax, sure, but apparently they make up for it by treating address changes like luxury spa services. At this point, I half‑expect them to offer a loyalty card: Change five addresses, get the sixth one free.
